The first “modern” school bus in the state operated in Pamlico County in 1917
The Pamlico Co. School Bus Garage is located in Bayboro, NC. This garage (built 1995) is operated by a Transportation Director, TIMS Clerk, Mechanic I & Mechanic II. Pamlico Co. Public Schools operates 24 Yellow School Buses and 7 Activity Buses. The annual operating budget is approximately $450K All buses have cameras.
