Jim Moen, former director of transportation for Guilford County Schools, received the Perley A. Thomas Award as part of the induction ceremonies for the N.C. Transportation Hall of Fame. Dr. John Wright, Assistant Superintendent, Guilford County Schools, accepted the award on behalf of Jim's wife Sharon. Jim passed away July of this year following complications from pulmonary fibrosis.
