Durham Public Schools Transportation Services was recently recognized nationally by School Transportation News for having the "Best Public Sector" Newsletter. "Express to Success" was recognized at the August STN Conference and Trade Show in Reno, Nevada. "Express to Success",
published quarterly by DPS Transportation Services, is distributed to all staff within the Department.

It includes a mixture of educational articles pertinent to staff as well as some "feel good" material that is intended to boost employee moral. Each publication features an employee on the front cover and has a calendar section that advises employees of important upcoming dates. G. Scott Denton, Executive Director - Transportation Services and Editor for the Newsletter says "we hope the
publication improves communication among our 400 or so employees . . . if everyone has the same vision and goals, we can be more successful at providing transportation services for our students. The newsletter is a tool that helps us share that vision and our goals with employees."
